Budapest, Hungary – a pleasant surprise

Perhaps one of the most underrated big cities in Europe, Budapest has far surpassed my expectations. I think the friendliness of the people here while surrounded by opulent Baroque domes and art nouveau architecture has certainly help create a welcoming atmosphere. I went on a night cruise down the Danube River and was able to see the city with its most iconic scenes, the Parliament building bathed in floodlights and the Buda Castle picture from this morning. I’ll have more to come, but here is a picture of the Parliament building from the river followed by the Buda Castle.
