The beach is not something I would have expected to do in Latvia, being so far north, but it was only a short 30 minute train ride to the beach town of Jurmala, on the Baltic Sea. We were there for most of the day and it was sunny and nice for awhile then clouded up and rained, but that’s when we went to lunch, so stayed mostly dry.
